Saturday, February 8, now 10am to 1:00pm, with concert from 12:15-1:00pm
A day for the keyboard player who wants to know more, the professional who wants to learn about early instruments and what they can teach us, and for the Liebhaber who just loves keyboard music of any era. Learn what these instruments can teach us and try your hand playing on a variety of early keyboards!
The day includes talks, demonstrations, coffee, and hands-on time in 4 different spaces, culminating in a concert by Micaela Schmitz and Michael Unger featuring clavichord, harpsichord and the venue’s Baroque style organ.
$15 entry (pre-registration encouraged). Free to those age 15 years and under. Minors must be accompanied by an adult.
We recommend parking at the CCM Garage, CCM Blvd, off Corry Street. Take the elevator to the 5000’s level. We meet at Mary Emory Hall Rm 5230, where the concert will take place as well.
