We used Butterick3640 for the dresses and Butterick4484 for underpinnings. Fabric from the Rag market (hurrah).

Earlier 18th Century French costumes, made by Abigail Seabrook , using pet-en-l’air’ pattern from ‘The Recollections of J.P. Ryan.’ with stays and the over and underskirt. Ringlets from Juliet’s.

era with dress patterns from Simplicity 4055. Pretend your hair is growing out from the ‘wig era’ with a bandeau – a delightful disarray! –
Victorian
and with Abi Seabrook, who made bustles and the dress (patterns from ‘Truly Victorian’:

TV261 1885 Four-Gore Underskirt and TV460 1885 Cuirass Bodice). Fabric from the Rag market (hurrah).

Victorian Hats

Hat shaped and band with buckle by Abi. Decorated by Micaela. Birds came from Hobbycraft at Webbs of Wychbold.

 The mini-hat form was shaped, lined and covered in brown taffeta by Abi. Micaela added the hat band, gauze, and fabric roses. with grateful thanks to our Fabric Rose Tutorial 1 and Rose Tutorial 2. I didn't use glue though, just needle and thread.
